Honduras Trip

Dwayne, Andrea, Silvia, and Adelaida will be visiting Father Juan in Honduras November 11th through November 15th as a Proistemi mission trip.

Below are the action items we have sent Father Juan to start planning our itinerary:

  1. Discussion on development at St. Peter’s

    • Acquisition of land for a community centers

    • Status of food basket programs

    • Moving to a sustainable approach to reducing poverty in this community and thus moving away from the food basket program (Silvia);

    • Review of gardening project (Andrea)

  2. Discussion on health clinics

    • Silvia will be our point person. She will be attending Yale University next year in their masters in health policy with a concentration in global health. We will be looking to see if she can carry this relationship into her work with her master’s program.

    • Would like for her to meet with the person over the government clinics in your area.

  3. Follow up discussion with the U.S. military liaison on their community programs that we may be able to partner with. Silvia and Dwayne will be prepared on this. If possible, would be good to pair this with a visit to the U.S. Embassy.

  4. Visit Casa Zulema—look at providing the furniture needs mentioned last time and deliver Christmas gifts (Andrea)

  5. Little Angels—expose Silvia, Andrea and Adelaida to the points of contact and the facility.

  6. Adelaida has a passion for education so any of the above that matches to this would be good to include her.
